A Poem
Oh summer, where has the time gone
Sunshine and cool breezes
Pictures of sunsets
Shadows on the sand
Outdoor BBQs with family
No cook diners. Just a big bowl of salad!
White Sangria and late night movies on the beach
Reasons to have ice cream at any time of the day
Fireworks, outdoor music festivals and hot dogs
Dancing salsa - well kinda
Kids building sand castles
Cool ocean water to refresh with
Letters written in sand - washed away by time
Partner on tours
Dinners for one
Whole bed to myself with and an affair with bread
Concerts at the Hollywood Bowl
Late night Thai dinners
Airport pickups and drop offs
A three sided kitchen
Mornings with the hummingbird, my father
Weekends with my Mom
Beautiful women back home
Arrival of friends here
Squeezes on Hump Day
Farmers market menus
Fresh veggies all summer long
Fresh bread baking
Loud music on the car stereo
Top down on the highway - arms in the air
Flip flops and painted toes
I love how you wake in the morning with the sun coming thru
How you make me want to put on sun dresses and no make up
I love how you have sun kissed my shoulders and made my freckles come to life
Oh summer, you are not gone yet
There is still time
Me, Sean, the beach and a big bowl of salad
Its on.
