Light Wheat Bread BBA Challenge Recipe #18

I am feeling the love again! It's on.
A Pictorial and A Poem

Light Wheat Bread

I am feeling the love again.
Yes, Lavash Crackers let me down
But now there's a new bread in town

Actually, this is a go to recipe
Always good in a pinch
Never lets me down
and a super cinch

Light Wheat Bread
I am glad you have come back
I was worried my love of flour, yeast and water
Had gotten a little off track

But I had faith and I knew
that soon a recipe would come
to redeem those dang crackers
and make me say YUM!

Light Wheat Bread is Perfect for Grilled Cheese
Peanut butter and jelly and Toast
Turkey and Beef that you roast

I am happy to say
Let it be said
Once again
I am hot for bread

So I am off to the races
looking forward to knead
looking for my next affair
Probably - Marbled Rye - Indeed!

It's not THE END, rather It's (back) on!

The light wheat bread - Recipe #18 in the BBA challenge is great. It's a simple bread and one I teach to those looking to learn to bake bread. It's a for sure thing.

Again, "The Bread Baker's Apprentice: Mastering the Art of Extraordinary Bread" by Peter Reinhart is an amazing book. A perfect addition to any collection. I just can't say enough.

Also, as always, thanks to Nicole @ Pinch My Salt....and all the other great BBA'ers for stopping by!

Now let me go freshen up - I am about to meet Marbled Rye for the first time and I want to look my best!
Happy Baking!

I have found the paradox, that if you bake until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more bread.
Well thats kinda the quote. Actually Mother Teresa said "I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."
Both sound good to me.

Love the poem, and the bread! This was a pretty good standard bread, but not my all-time fave. Although you're right, that this is a good bread with which to teach baking.
